What is this fluttering??

For the last two days i have felt fluttering on and off in my lower abdomen in the middle, Im not sure if its gas bubbles because it just seems to low down for that and like nothing ive ever experienced before, but im only 10 weeks pregnant, i didnt think it was possible to feel baby movement this early on so what can it be??

I'm scared that something bad is happening but ive had no bad pains or spotting!

Well this is my fourth baby and I felt similar movement early with all my babies (except the first...totally missed out on the flutterings with her and just went straight to the kicks!).

Don't let anyone tell you that you can't feel your baby move!!! If a baby can physically move inside you (ie it's physically able to make movement with hands and feet) then you always have the potential to feel it! It can depend on your body type (especially if you're normally quite thin) and also where your uterus is lying and for that matter where the baby is positioned within it! Congratulations...by the way don't freak out if you don't feel it all the time or every day as you can sometimes go days before you feel anything again!!!

Thank you everyone for your comments, i might actually get some sleep tonight instead of poking my poor husband in the side whenever i felt it :)

Ive asked quite a few questions on here and this has been the most friendly and helpful site ive been on, thanks so much.

I agree with the others, i started feeling the fluttering around 11 to 12 wks this time. I felt the fluttering with my first also around that time. So i think u can feel the baby that early too, it depends on your own body.

Just like luvbug said, I also noticed the shooting pains more when I'd be laying down. Your just making baby room :)

the shooting pains as long as they are mild are probably just the ligaments stretching its perfectly normal, and a great sign that the baby is growing,  Good luck
