pain down the side of my vagina and sometimes goes all the way round to my bum

about 4 months ago i was sitting on the floor and this pain started i have a pain down the side of my vagina and sometimes goes all the way round to my bum, it comes and goes sometimes its really bad like a 8 or goes down to me only just noticing it,its a throbbing pain and at the minute its hurting me alot.if i turn on my side like a snuggle position that makes it worse, went to the doctor he had no idea and said maybe do a xray on your hips, which is not the right area at all,sooo

does anyone have any idea what this is?
