Whiteheads on my vagina??????

I am so scared... while showering last night I felt a small bump in the inside of my vagina. I jumped out the shower and grabbed a mirror and after examining myself, I realized that I had not only one but two little bumps that look like whiteheads. They dont hurt at all, but I am still concerned. Actually, I am scared as hell. I am sexually active but always use protection.

I have been looking online at sexual transmitted diseases and pictures of them and cannot find anything that looks like what i see down there.

Can anyone help???

I am so afraid.

firstly, try your tears sweetie, its really not the end of the world!

Yes you can have sex (but I would wait at least a week or two till these ones die away completely).
Yes you can give it to your partner but the risks are only really great whilst the warts are present.  Condoms should keep most of them at bay (but not 100% effective tho).  The other thing to note is that your partner should be checked out too... you obviously got them from somewhere (could have been a previous partner tho).
There is a huge percentage of the population that have been treated for this condition but its just not talked about.  Just keep an eye out for them recurring and treat them when you find them.  Make sure you have regular cervical smears as HPV has been linked to cancer of the cervix.
You will be fine :) but you will need to be selective about who you sleep with - it should be someone you trust and would feel comfortable talking bout this with should it come up.

Well its official- Genital Warts.. I went to the doctor's last night and she froze them off with acid. Then she told me that this is a viral infection that WILL NOT GO AWAY!!!!

Needless to say I am devastated and havent stopped crying since....

Can I still live a productive life with HPV?
Can I still have sex?
Can I give this to my partner even if I dont have the warts present?

I am still obviously very upset and need some advice.

Thanks so much

Firstly dont be afraid - whatever they are I'm sure they are very easily treated.  Unlikely to be a latex allergy - as u say u would have noticed before now and would have a more widespread reaction as opposed to two small lumps.  Growths in the vaginal region can be one of the following:
1. most common culprit : genital warts, non-tender well defined growths. very easily treated by your doctor
2. if you shave or wax and the lumps are on the vulval area: ingrown hairs (these are often a little bit tender tho) and not found internally generally speaking.
3. cystic growths: fatty or fluid filled lesions that pop up in all sorts of places. usually not tender.
So you need to see your doctor or gynaecologist or sexual health clinic.  Condoms dont provide 100% protection from STIs but they definitely help and I think it would be good to rule out genital warts, which statistically speaking, is the most likely cause of these lumps appearing out of nowhere.  Whatever is the case, if you dont like them most lesions can be either treated or excised (cut out).  Good luck :)
