Why brown discharge??

Just a few minutes ago I noticed a brown discharge in my underwear. It was like mucus? I have been very stressed out and anxious for a week or two.. I am NOT pregnant , I haven't had sex.   My period should be comin soon so could it be time for ovulating? I'm 16 so I haven't had much experience with discharge (except the normal ovulating) and I've had my period for 3 years. This discharge had a strong smell and lately I've had a clear-ish white-ish discharge that has had the same smell.  I was just wondering if anyone knew what this was from..? Again, not pregnant.

I think you've been answered previously from what I can see.  So, will just reiterate past advice that you seem quite anxious and are overanalyzing things.  Anxiety can be an issue all on its own and needs treatment just like other disorders.  Please consider that this may be going on for you and talk to your doctor or your mom about seeing a doctor for anxiety.
All of this can be attributed to a period coming.  Most girls your age are irregular too.  You are so hyper focused on things that you are feeling every ache, cramp, etc. and it makes you more worried.  You need to get out of the worry trap!  There is nothing ---  NOTHING  ----  out of the ordinary that you write of.

Hormones fluctuate with all women throughout their cycle and cause various things to happen and it is all normal.

Talk to your mom about this high level of anxiety you have. good luck

I will try to talk to my parents. My dad doesn't understand it though.. today I'm spotting. That's completely normal right? I've never spotted before a period , usually my period just hits.
