Yaz birth control

I started taking yaz the first sunday of my period, which was two days into it, and then a day later my period stopped.  Is that normal?

I have only been taking it for a few weeks now, and I havent become pregnant, and I have not heard anything about it happening.  I know that before I used to miss pills and never take them at the same time each day, and never became pregnant, but like you said, it is a lower dose, so I am not completely sure.

My doc gave me samples of Yaz. I haven't started them yet but I am nervous because it is low dose and stressed the importance of taking it at the same time everyday that i am afraid it may not work. I am not a very compliant patient with taking pills. I often forget my synthroid. I was wondering if anyone ever got pregnant of Yaz and if it occurs more often than on other birthcontrol pills.
THanks, Beth
