Hi guys I had a a yeast infections (thrush) almost constantly for nearly 3 years I took fluconazole once a month for 6months to no avail then my doctor suggested it could be linked to the birth control I was taking (cilest) I came off it and hey presto it went almost straight away!
Hi all! I too have had these problems for a year and a half. In the summer of 07 I had a yeast infection for four months that would not go away, and never even cultured. Tried everything, diflucan, boric acid, monistat, terazol. What finally killed it was gynazole. Was clear for 11 months. Now have another, I am not sure what triggered it. Took a gynazole, felt better for 10 days, then it came back. And the funny thing is my yeast they cannot see under a microscope and it does not culture. Anyone ever heard of this?
Also I have found that garlic cloves help with the burning!
You need to see a doc and get your sugar under control. Being a diabetic can lead to chronic yeast infections. You need to have a culture done for the yeast also, to make sure it is not more resistant strain. I really think that if youget your diabetes under control, then your yeast infections will ease up.
i have a yeast overgrowth throughout my body. I have it under control. Yeast loves sugar. You might try a test. Take a glass of water and let it sit out over night on the counter. Then first thing in the morning spit in it before you drink anything. Leave it there for about 15 min. See if it strings down. My husband and I both did this test. My husbands spit just sat on top, mine strings and usually if a person has too much yeast it will string down like that.
You might want to look into taking galic pills as this helps. Stay away from sugar and bread with yeast. When you get those sugar cravings, that is the yeast talking. Do some searches under canadia to find out more.
