Yeast Infection/Tanning bed

I never get yeast infections and have been going to the tanning bed for years. I just started going again this year. I've been about 5 times. I stared getting white discharge after tanning. There's no oder, or itching, but it's a milky like substance.
Please help.

Gals, could be your constrictive clothing (aka, your suit if you are wearing one in the tanning bed). I have always had trouble with nylon knickers, pantyhose, and swimsuits (yes, I am a rather big lady who wears the one-piece on the beach). My body tends to sweat alot, and I tried the tanning bed a few years ago to temper my freckled pale UK complection. I got a yeast infection almost immediately after wearing only panties in the chamber. Think it was the heat warming the fabric. I sleep nude to counter the effects. Don't know if that is the reason, but it seems to work for me, even after working out in spandex tights. Doesn't seem to worry my husband much :-)

Did taking probiotics prior to tanning help you because I have The same issues  I get what feels like a uti or yeast (feeling like I have to pee) same time every year and it's been I go tanning in prep for a vacation. I'm experiencing it right now and it's so annoying!  I hope there's a solution because I'll burn if I don't tan prior to going!  Thank you

Here's a thought. If wearing a bikini bottom, and you begin to sweat, the lips of the vulva do not breathe, and the uv lamps heat everything up. Natural flora may be overgrown with yeast, which likes warm and moist environments. Summer swims or dips in the pool may not create the heat and confined moisture that tanning beds could cause. I do know that if I swim and stay in a suit for too long I used to be prone to vaginal infections. May be far-fetched, but I thought I'd at least share some food for thought. Also, I tried tanning salons when I was younger (never now, since I am a fair redhead), and I noticed my body odour smelled somewhat different than being out in the air or the sun. BTW, the place I went to was clean, meticulous, and otherwise odour-free, so it was not some other person's fumes I was noticing, in case you wondered. If anything, it smelled of pina colada lotion a bit, but that's all. Has anyone else noticed that "different" sweat smell?

From Experience - 26yo - I usually get 1 yeat infection a year and it always seems to be around the same time . early Jan - Mid Feb. I feel like every Valentines day i have one. After 5 years i figured it out. I also go indoor tanning during this time of year - (to prepare for Vacation) . The Tanning is bringing on the yeast infection. I don't know how or why but from now on I'm going to start taking those anti yeast capsules once daily starting a week before i plan to tan and continuing until after Vaca! Ughhh....I so hate yeasters!    We'll see if i get one next year! Betcha Not! = )

Are you sure it's not your regular cervical mucus discharge.  If it doesn't have an odor, is whitish/clear, and isn't clumpy, I would say it's normal.  I've never heard of getting a yeast infection from a tanning bed though.  A yeast infection is a natural build of your own body's yeast cells sometimes cause by tight clothing or a ph imbalance.  I'd call your doctor if you're still concerned, but it sounds like it's normal.  Good luck.
