Yeast infection or STD?

My vagina has been very itchy for at least a week. At first I assumed it was a yeast infection but now I'm getting concerned. Previous yeast infections I've had went away when I started my period, but not this time. It has developed red itchy bumps that seem to be spreading. Also, I noticed my skin is peeling. Could this be an STD?
