Yeast or Infection?

Hi,

I am currently 18 years old and havent had a yeast infection yet.  I am on the birth control pill and i sometimes get itchy before my period, but it goes away afterwards.  About three days ago my boyfriend and I were fooling around and he fingered me a lot.  Afterwards i was really sore, but i normally am so i didnt think much of it.  Then i started to get itchy but i just brushed it off cause it isnt too bad.  But now i have this thick, white discharge, it doesnt have an odour which is why i dont think its BV and i dont have any other yeast infection symptoms, i am just a bit itchy with thick discharge.  Is this just some sort of infection that will go away by itself?  Ive done a lot of research and i dont think its BV or a yeast? What do you think it could be?

Ideally you should go to the dr.  This sounds like yeast to me, but since it's your first, you should go to dr.  If that's not possible, then my opinion is to give Monistat a try.  When I got yeast infections my discharge was like yours - it wasn't necessarily cottage-cheese like ... just different than the usual, clumpy.

Not really, its thicker then normal but not really THAT thick. I am really just worried about the discharge because i am not even really that itchy anymore.  There are no smells. no burning, no pain just kind of a clumpier discharge.  If its an irritation what do i do? Like wash or something?
