I think you can be strong for your family and still acknowledge your own symptoms and hardships. You can't be taking care of other people if you're not taking care of yourself. That's a trap I've fallen into many times, where I would put up a front and try to take care of my family and just let all of my issues build up until I couldn't handle them anymore.
I obviously don't know your situation, but I think just being there for your family is perhaps the most important thing-- and letting them be there for you. They'd almost certainly not want you to stifle your own problems and feelings to help them. I know that nobody likes to be a burden, and I often feared that's what I would be, that what I was feeling wasn't as bad as someone else, etc. Pain is pain and the more reciprocal your relationships are, the stronger they'll probably feel.
