birth control pills

I've been on yasmin for 2 years. my periods became so short - 2 days, max 3 days. I understand the pill makes af easier, lighter, but i'm worried about getting pregnant, even though i'm taking yasmin on time daily. Can anyone share their own observations, please? Thank you!

It is completely normal for your period to become lighter and shorter while on the pill.  Everyone's body responds differently..some women have a longer period while on the pill.
If I were you, I would just consider myself lucky...My period lasted for 1 day when I was on the pill (YIPPEE!!!!).  Now, my husband had a Vas. and my period is back to the normal 5 day blah.  Be happy!

Sounds like the Yasmin is working pretty well for you but you can call your doc and talk about your concerns, and also maybe use condoms for backup if you are really worried. But they are very affective when taken properly and it really just sounds like you have lucked out with a pill that makes your periods very short and easy to deal with. Enjoy!

Chances are you wont become pregnant if you faithfully take your pill but nothing is 100 percent effective other than not having sexual intercourse...Many things can affect the pill like medications, missing one, use of antibiotics etc..
