birth control

Has anyone used the generic form of Seasonale?  I'm wondering about side effects between periods and if periods are heavier/lighter, shorter/longer, etc. while on this form of birth control as opposed to getting a period monthly.

I started about a month ago, and spotted for about three weeks straight. That seems to have abated a bit, but I've heard it can last off and on for the first year or so as the uterine lining thins--so I doubt that's the end of it ;-) It's been a little annoying, but not a big deal--and it's better than having my period. Why not give it a try? If you don't like it, you can always switch later. You could also use any monophasic pill...
