bladder infection and pregnancy tests

I know its a little early to be worried but I am 5 days late which I never am and I think I might be pregnant. I took a test today but it came back negative. I currently have a bladder infection and am on antibiotics; could this effect the results in the test? I am having some of the symptoms like tender breasts, lower back pain, nausea, and I cant stand the sight or smell of beef and chicken. I did have unprotected sex during the time i was ovulating so it may be possible. Do you think I should try a test again in a few days or is the medicine and the bladder infection a problem and i should just go and get blood work done. Please help I would love any advice on this problem. thank you.

Bladder infections or medicine for it won't affect the pregnancy test result.

Standard advice:  If you are late for your period, test.  If negative, test again in one week if you don't get your period.  If it is still negative, call your doctors office for advice.
