MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
You are in the perimenopausal age and hence it can be responsible for your missed periods. Apart from pregnancy, there are many other reasons for a delayed period. The other causes are hormonal imbalance like in PCOS (Polycystic ovarian syndrome), stress, obesity, malnutrition, anemia, hypothyroidism, illness, etc. The only way to know whether you are pregnant is to get a pregnancy test done. You can do a home pregnancy test by using a pregnancy kit easily available at chemists. Also, it is suggested that you see a gynecologist who will examine you.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

hi thanks for the reply, my doctor has done blood tests from me for hormones, thyroids and anaemia, all have come back normal..after the last blood tests the doctors receptionist said I did not need an appointment to see the doc...It is now 97 days since my last period, and I am non the wiser as to why my periods have stopped.  The nausea has eased off most of the time, just the odd time I feel sick now, but my breasts are still very tender.  My weight has is virtually the same as it was after gaining my figure back from having my daughter 18 years ago.
