burning feeling? please help!

Maybe someone can help me.  Over the past month, every time my boyfriend and i have sex i get a burning feeling at the opening of my vagina and we have also notice a thin white discharge. We have been together for 2 years and never had this problem before. Im not sure what the problem is but at times the burning is really intense. Do you think it could be a yeast infection??  Also my doctor recently changed my birth control so i dont know if that would have an effect. If someone could please help me it would be great.  Thanks!!!
