Anal Cancer Risk? HPV moderate dysplasia.

Could I have anal cancer?
I am a 23 year old female with 2 sexual partners in her lifetime... My ex bf (1st sexual partner) gave me hpv which developed into moderate cervical dysplasia.  I had a leep procedure and have had normal paps ever since.  However I have recently begun to worry about anal cancer.  About 5 years ago when I was still with my ex (who gave me the hpv) we decided to try anal sex.  He entered my anus for about 10 seconds before I made him stop because of pain.  What are the chances that I developed hpv due to this exposure and could that have possibly turned to anal cancer?  Should I get an anal pap done from my gyno. Also, is it possible that if I DO have anal cancer am I already in too late of a stage for it to be treated successfully? I'm very worried, please I would appreciate some insight because the internet seems strangely scarce on info for anal cancer/hpv especially in women!

It is not likely that your having hpv has developed into anal cancer. It's okay take a breather. However, most squamous cell anal cancers are linked to the hpv virus. There is a small, minute chance, but again it is not likely. Are you having any symptoms? Pain? Anal discharge? Have bowels habits significantly changed. Is there bleeding from your anus? I think that your concern is valid and is something that you can discuss with your gynecologist at your next appointment. Unless you are having symptoms I would say that it's not emergent that you see someone right away for a anal pap. Most people are able to clear their body of the virus on it's on. Having the leep destroyed existing bad cells caused by the virus. The internet will make you crazy. If you are going to look at it as a guide be sure to factor in other risk factors as well. I wish you a happy, healthy life!!!!

Thanks for the quick response!  I have sort of had symptoms (I think).  Every now and then a get a little sharp pain in my anus region.  And I've had a bit of discharge before... I have made myself very paranoid :( None of these things have caused me any concern up until now though, now that I am over analyzing everything.  I am going to call the gyno tomorrow and schedule a pap along with an anal pap just to be sure.  I know I'm going to worry myself crazy up until the results are back :(
