I too was advised to have a hysterctomy and I wasn't 30. I had a surgery (DNC) and took Lupron for six months, my baby after Lupron is 4 years old now. It was horrible all of the side effects, but I did it. I still have fibriods but my tubes are clear and just some minor scarring from endo. I just had my second child 7 months ago.
There are pros and cons about a hysterectomy. That is an individual choice. Research it well, before you decide. Dont just go on what the doctors say.
the doctor basically just gave me a six month window before i started the lupron.Obviously it never happened.they said shortlyi will have to have a hysterectomy should i not let them???
Mild dysplasia in some cases go away on it own. Generally they will pap you every three months to watch it. Once you have had three clean paps they will then schedule you paps annually. With a removel of one ovary and endometriomas getting pregnant could be very difficult but no impossible. It is bset that you work with your doctor very closely. Once you are ready to try conceive there maybe a chance that you may need to take infertility drugs or even have to IVF. I urge all women to know their bodies. It will make things better when you and your doctor are working together.
I am 38 and was diagnosed with endometrosis at 18 with a laporoscopy. Over the years I had 4 laps, with one also taking most of my right ovary. I was never able to conceive naturally. I tried several fertility drugs. At age 33, we decided on IVF. It worked. I dont know if this is for you, but good luck. I know it is hard.
