chronic groin pain????

Okay I had a double hernia operation a couple years ago, they put mesh in and that is supposed to stop any hernia from producing in that area. I had a daughter since than and started to work out after a few month's of having her. Now I am having a lot of pain in my groin area again. The doctor who did the last operation says that he is not convinced that I have another hernia cause it's supposed to be very affective. He think's I have a chronic groin pain. From stretching of the groin. I don't believe him I was wonder if anybody has been diagnosed with this and if so what were your symptoms?

I'd recommend getting a second opinion as well...even just for peace of mind. Once you know that it is/isn't from the mesh, then you can plan accordingly. I'm not very familiar with hernias and mesh, etc...I just wonder if it could be your glands.
I hope you feel better.

Get a second opinion.  My cousin had his mesh fail and had to have the hernia op redone.    It took me quite a few years to not feel any pain or discomfort at the site of the hernia.  I am an active mt biker and also cross train with weights.   For quite a few years I could not do sit ups without discomfort.  It's been 6 years.
