I had problems with chronic yeast infections. The only thing that worked for me was boric acid suppositories. I took Gy-na-tren, a combination of boric acid and probiotics. You can make boric acid vaginal suppositories yourself if you want to. I also mixed 1 drop of oregano oil in about 1 tablespoon of olive oil and applied that on the outer area. I am FINALLY feeling much better with these treatments.

some girl i knew had this and she cut all sugar and lowered her starches. I think it was a build up of candida.  she was on the yeast infection meds for 5 months before she got better.  i think she was also taking acidophilus in addition to eating plain yogurt.  ????

Chronic yeast and the treatments that are used to 'cure' the infection can lead to something called vulvodynia.   This pain 'disorder' can mimick yeast infections.    A good gyn with a referral to a physical therapist would be a good place to start.

What are your symptoms?  It could be a bacterial infection or Group B strep or perhaps a strain of yeast that is resistant to the OTC medications.  Since I'm not a dr, I'm just guessing.  But, thought I'd throw these out there for other possibilites. Make an appt to find out for sure.
