Yes.  You should not have burning.  The uncomfortable/painful part of a UTI clears up with antibiotics very quickly even though the antibiotics are still working to eradicate the bacteria.  As you still have symptoms, you are on the wrong medication.  Could you possibly have a yeast infection on top of it?  Do you have any itching or discharge too?

It is a separate pill from the antibiotic that 'cures' the infection.  Do you take two pills?

Hi there. Sorry about the UTI.  those are no fun.  Typically antibiotics work pretty fast.  Within 24 hours you feel better and almost perfect within 48 (although keep taking prescription until gone).  Typically doctors prescribe a pill along with it that helps with the discomfort.  It turns urine a scary orange color but you feel better on it.  Did your doctor prescribe this?  I think you can buy it over the counter as well.  Phenzazopyridine is the generic name.  Ask your doctor for this or pharmacist for the over the counter version.  good luck
