I'm not sure if i have had that checked but I have had so many blood tests, other labs and countless tests.
I also have other symptoms than sammy1984 that i did not mention.
i dont just have cramps.
This has been going on for months. theyre gunna do this surgery and then go from there i guess.

you don't say your age, or mention any other symptoms...but read up on thyroid disorders...the symptoms you describe are indicative of this as well...

and Casey 2990...have you had thyroid levels (TSH, FT4, FT3) checked?  I would have some labs done before having them poke around in my belly and find nothing...happens all the time.  since the thyroid is the master hormone regulator....

I was having the same problem as you, the cramps gradually got longer and loner,
and now i am in constant pain in my pelvis and abdomen and sides under my hips.
you should definately talk to your family doctor or gyno,
they will do an internal exam and possibly an internal ultrasound.
I am going for laparoscopic surgery in 2 days so they can check for endometriosis, mention edometriosis as my doctor never even though of it until i researched it and I noticed i had all the symptoms. try taking midol for the pain and if that doesnt help tell your doctor that too. try also advil for the anti inflammatory help.
make sure you are forceful as i have not had much help from my doctor at all.
he tried to brush off my pains as contipation which its not,
and some doctors might say that it is just normal to have period pain, but if its that much, its not normal.
keep me updated as to what you find out or if anything changes! good luck!
