cystic lesion ovary size of an orange

my friend was diagnosed with a cystic lesion the size of an orange on her ovary after a CT-Scan She said the doctor said it was filled with fluid, she will be going in soon for further tests, I was wondering if any one had info on such a problem and if it could be cancer? since it is fluid filled
thanks  kathy
