Yeast Infection or Something Else?

I was wondering if this could possibly be a yeast infection?  I know I will have to see my doctor for a proper diagnosis, and I plan to on Thursday.  I just wanted to get some thoughts on this for sort of peace of mind, I guess.

Before I had my last menstrual period (about two weeks-ish ago), my vagina started itching around the opening (hole).  I thought I might have a yeast infection then, but I wanted to see what would happen and not panic about it.  So, I just let it be.  I had my period.  The itching subsided, so I figured it was nothing.  Then, I had sex with a guy I met.  It was a stupid mistake and one I've only made this one time and don't plan on ever making again.  I am usually in committed relationships before I have sex with anyone.

Anyway, he said he may or may not have herpes.  I asked him if he had had any sores.  He said no, the tip of his penis goes a bit discolored from time to time and it hurt one day.  But he said he hasn't had any typical sores that are usually associated with herpes.  Nevertheless, I made him use a condom when we had sex because I wanted to be safe.  He was very...."thick" and the sex hurt tremendously.  He was not rough and did not even go all the way in as to not touch my skin with the base of his penis.

Later the same day, it hurt to urinate.  This went on for a few days.  The itchiness would come back at times, too.  Then I started having symptoms of a UTI, so I went to my OB/GYN.  She prescribed antibiotics and did not do a vaginal exam because I was on my period.  I did have her do an STD panel though.  Everything came back negative, but the nurse practitioner said I should get retested for Herpes because it could take up to 8 weeks to show up in my blood?

Now, right below the opening of my vagina hurts.  It is sore - it hurts at random times like when I am just sitting.  It has hurt more and more over the past week.  It burns at times to urinate.  I have had a bit of itchiness today, too.

I was wondering if this could all be due to a yeast infection?  It has been going on for nearly two weeks now and just seems to be getting worse. :(  I doubt I have herpes since we used a condom and he doesn't even know if he really has it or not, but I hope it's not.

Any thoughts?  Thanks in advance!

Thanks! I'm going to see her on Thursday, no worries :) Just wanted to hear some thoughts.  Glad it sounds yeasty, lol.  That's easy enough to treat :)  I think that's what it probably is, too.
