emergency contraception

I have been trying to abstain from sex for the last few months, but last night I guess my loneliness got to me a little bit....I had sex with my bf. and used the withdrawal method. My period was due about 3 days ago but it hasnt' come yet, so I'm on about day 32 since my last period.
Should I take an EBCP, like plan B or can I take a double dose of regular birth control ??? I have a package of alesse at home, can I take two pills now and two later?

You can get a prescription for plan b that you can keep on hand if you ever need to use it, but your doc probably won't prescribe it as your primary form of BC. You should ask your doctor what type of pill won't cause nausea. Most docs know the side effects of all bc pills and can switch you. Plus, you should be using condoms anyway. I don't think you should feel guilty about liking sex and doing it when you want to, but you really need to be responsible about it. Also, try taking your pills after eating, and if you took them in the morning before, switch to nighttime.

okay nevermind! AF just came to town! but I did read that you can take 5 pink pills of alesse after unprotected sex, and then 5 pink pills 12 hours later.
I'm sure some of the girls here are getting sick of my paranoia but I'm just at a point in my life, where its like I feel I've slept around a fair amount in my past and I'm trying to change that and practise abstinence, but then I find out it's way easier said than done.
can anyone recommend a birth control method I could use so that I do have a backup for when these few unexpected moments of vulnerability come around ?  bcp's make me very nausious.

Have you been taking BC pills regularly?  If you have you may want to talk to the Dr about changing the pills if you are taking them and havent had a period yet.  If you are not taking them you may want to do emergency contraception or call your Dr he may want you to double up on BC pills.
