emotional teen

I have a 15 year old who experiences very strong emotions a week before her period.  She is happy one minute, then crying the next. She is like a roller coaster.  Any ideas how to help. Thanks

I am 59 now, but the week before my periods was ALWAYS emotional. 1. See a female OB/GYN with your daughter as the patient. I used Mydol pre-period because I had so much premenstrual pain. At 13 I was told by a male OB/GYN nothing was physically wrong with me. I actually found out about 10 years ago that I had polycystic ovary issues. Last month I had a hysterectomy. My right ovary was encased in a softball sized Solid mass. I had a prolapsed uterus as well. There are many new ways to discern what could be causing her inner stress. Hormones are running out of control. Make an appointment, go with her, explain what might occur, however; do ask if she wants help in this area. Don't send her to the male OB/GYN that lives 2 houses away from you like my Mom did. It was horrible!!!!!!!
