endometriosis anyone know about this or had this? Need help

Ive been reading thru the posts and noticed this mentioned a few times. I just wondered if anyone has had this and if u can tell me about it. Ive read on the net but sometimes hearing it from real people makes more sence. Im wondering if thats what I actually have. I have pains in my pelvic area, during intercourse espesh deep penetration (Sorry if TMI) when I have bowel movement (noticed today and it lasts till after aswell) and just generally achy. Im not sure if during ovulation cos I havent really checked but I think I will this month. If I do have it does it always mean infertility? And what if its left? I have a scan booked 4th sept and cant get an emergency appt.

Your experiences and advice very appreciated.

Hello,
I just had laparoscopy a week ago today.  Doctor said I had a very mild case of Endo.
I talked to him today and asked what I can do to slow the condition or to help stay healthy.  I dont have children and hope to in the next 2 years.  I am 30 years old.
Have your doctors told you to do anything in particular for your health?????  From my research it looks like organic foods, exercise is supposed to help.
anyone have any comments... I'm freaking out

I've had endometriosis for 9 years.  In 2000 I had a laparoscopy and laser removal on moderate to severe areas.  I was also on lupron therapy for 3 months.  It seemed better for awhile but the past few years it has been really bad again.  After I ovulate I have severe cramps until I get my period.  First thing in the morning and after sex are the worst!  We've been trying to get pregnant for only  2 months now and I was petrified after what I've been reading that we wouldn't be able to.  But....I'm confirmed to be pregnant so don't let the infertility scare you as it did me because if I can get pregnant with the severity that I had then anyone can.

i have had pain off an on during intercourse for about the last 4 years - i remember a few times i doubled over in pain and my husband had to stop but it was never consistent. I have been having issue with some blood on my stool and mucos since april - i have had a coloncopy which came back with a small polyp not the cancerous type and no site or cause of bleeding. the fleet mixture made me throw up when i took it for the test and after vomitng all the water i threw up blood. have been having upper left stomach pain for sometime so they then did a endoscopy 2 week after the colonoscopy - they saw mild gastritis and i am a follow up appointment next week - i think they will come back and say there is no issue - but i also have pelvic pain very bad during my period so bad sometime that if i am standing more than a few minutes i have to sit downto relieve the pain - i also have very painful stomach cramps when i sit down to the bathroom and think i may need to have a bm when on my period i have to just bear the pain but it is almost unbearable - i also somtimes feel like when i am having sex with my hustband that i can feel it in my rear
(tmi I KNOW) i am not sure where to turn or the questions to ask or what type of dr to see.. i haven't been to the gyno in a year. any advise?

Wow!  It's not just me!  I've had endometriosis my whole life - hideously painful menstrual cramps, pain like cramps after orgasm sometimes, pain with deep penetration, and lower abdominal pain other than uterine pain (like the cramps/pain others have mentioned with bowel movements, except mine hurt before as well as after, for hours at a time, varying with hormonal levels).

It got "officially" diagnosed with my daughter's C-section, when they saw that I was full of adhesions/scar/endometrial tissue.  (I was 34.)  When I tried to get pregnant a couple of years after that, I had inferility problems -  turns out I had a heart-shaped uterus, seen on the transalpinogram they did to see if my tubes were blocked (they weren't).  They did laproscopy and opened everything up, followed by 3 months of Lupron. Then we tried 4 IUI's, which didn't work, so I finally tried IVF (my husband had had testicular cancer, so he had a lower than usual sperm count, too).  I got pregnant on the 2nd try - but I switched to an all-organic diet and started exercising, which I think helped me get pregnant, too.

When I stopped nursing my son at 18 months, my periods and the rest of the pain came back - aiieeee!  Now I'm on Lupron again and will have a hysterectomy/ovary removal in a couple of months, and I can't wait. I've had my kids, and I can finally get the damn thing removed!  Yay!

Yeah I'm posting late to but Harley-Girl let me know what your doc says.  They can only do a lap test to find out endo and I don't think they can do it if you're pregnant.

I'm having these same symptoms...cramps when I use the bathroom and after having sex (only if I have an orgasm).   I've had CAT scans & ultrasounds...they can find nothing.  Not one doctor has mentioned endo.  I'm going to someone else next week to try again.  I've been having these pains for over 3 years and it's driving me crazy.  My boyfriend hardly ever wants to have sex because he's afraid he's 'hurting' me.

Sorry I don't have any answers, just wanted to let you know that you're not alone.

I have endo and sometimes I have pain during intercourse and other times I have no pain during but will have mild cramping for about a day afterwards, sometimes even just playing around will trigger this cramping.

It's not painful but it feels sort of like when you get period cramps.  Not extreme where you need motrin but waves of cramping.  It's hard to describe.  It doesn't hurt when we have sex.  Sometimes it is sensitive if he puts it in too deep but never painful.  Maybe it's nothing but the cramps when I have a bm is strange.

Thats whats happening to me. I used to enjoy (TMI) deep penetration but now I get scared to even try and sometimes I can get into a good position that it doesnt but hardly ever! Whatever this is is soooooooooooooo annoying! When I went to the dr she asked if Im tense during that time, Ive been married near 6 years! A bit late to get nervous hehe!

With the painful intercourse most of those with endo cannot stand to have the man enter all the way, it hurts that bad. To have an orgasm was not painful though.

I am wondering as well if I have it.  When I have an orgasm I get period like cramps afterward and when I have a bm I get cramps as well.  During my AF it is painful only on my heavy days but does feel better after motrin.  After the 2 heavy days it doesn't hurt anymore.  Could I have endo as well?  I have been ttc for 8 months this month so it would help if I knew that I have this.

I have endo and required two surgeries to compl remove it. After surgery I was put on Depo Lupron for 6 months that completley stops your periods so no more endo forms from there I was placed on continous BCP and only allowed 3 periods a year. Endo as far as I can tell is gone and I am going on 5 months pregnant. My sister also has it and has 4 daughters so preg is possible. If it is severe it needs to be treated or else it does cause infertility.
