expired hpt's

Let me start off by saying that I do not really think I am pregnant.

I am on levelen 1 / 28 (something like that) and never have missed a pill. I WAS on antibiotics a little less than a month ago (10/24 or 10/25) but was horrid & only took them for a few days. My partner had intercourse *around* (I dont keep track) 10/23 and 10/27 and 11/1 or 11/2 (again, not 100% sure, but those times seem right since I was on vacation). The dr didnt actually tell me of the SMALL risk (according to her) of pregnancy till yesterday and to be honest I am really not stressing it

BUT.. I've been gaining weight.. water weight no doubt, but just wierd to up a few pounds in the last week or so. Its nowhere near my inactive pills. No big deal until this morning. My upper lip is swollen and a cold sore coming. I've had 5 bouts of cold sores in my life... 3 times in pregnancy (all of them) & 2 times after severe lip sunburn/windburns. Of those 5 times 1 time it has been on my upper lip & the rest lower & that was in my 1st pregnancy. Not to mention that all episodes have had a minimum of a year & a half or so between them and I just had the sunburn induced infection 2.5 months ago.. & it was baaaaaaaaaaaaad (last nearly a month of HUGE painful blisters.. & that was with acyclovir for the last two weeks)

anyhow, I took a pregnancy test strip I had from last time I was pregnant and it was very clearly negitive (the result I was hoping) but throwing it away it says expires 5/2006. That shouldnt be TOO old should it? I googled it and I mainly found false +'s with expired tests but thought I'd ask

I used a very expired pg test for this pg (one of 4 I took).  It was clearly positive.  I don't think you have anything to worry about, especially since your test is only 6 months expired.
