I went to the doctor today she said that I don't have to be on birth control and that shes sending me to a fertility center because the fibroid is really small and is in the back of the uterus. If any one has any advice please help i really want to conceive and the other that is weird is that my period is every 26 day only for 1 day and 3 days spotting. also, I don't get any cervical mucus around ovulation.

Thank you so much...on may 1 I have to see my doctor but that's what she found when she did the laparoscopy on April 16. Because before she said that I might have endometriosis cuz I was getting painful period and around ovulation, one day period, painful when I have sex and pain when I have a bowel movement, constipation and maybe infertility due to the fact that I'm been try for so long. But she said she didn't find anything just a small fibroid. But I will post of what she tells me on the 1st but I just don't want to be on birth control pills.

Hello,
It is true that fibroids may interfere with pregnancy but pregnancy with fibroids is there and it will not cause infertility. Common causes of infertility in female are endometriosis, ovulation problem, pelvic inflammatory disease, poor egg quality, polycystic ovarian syndrome, damaged or blocked fallopian tubes etc. In male reason for infertility are related to sperm (azoospermia, oligospermia), problem with sperm delivery, due to sexual dysfunction, and an obstruction etc. hence complete work up has to be done to know the underlying cause.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
