I had my thyroid checked in 2012, but I have a dr apt coming up at the end of the month. when I awake in the morning my sugar is high. this moring it was 177.
So you are checking your blood sugar when you awake with night sweats? I know low sugar can cause night sweats but I thought high can make you feel warm but not cause sweating.
Yes, have your thyroid checked and maybe even ask for a complete endocrine workup which would include thyroid.
I had my last pap/ pelvic exam in sept 2013 so its time for it again
Hi there. Well, you could be but the statistics say probably not. A test at your doctor's office can determine as menopause can be tracked by your doctor. Now, I had long cycles of a period every 3 to 4 months due to a very slow thyroid in my 20's. It last about a year and a half that I had this situation. I had some other very subtle things like a bit of weight gain and dry skin. But my blood work showed my thyroid function was off and slow. The biggest symptom was my lack of periods (or what is really just a very long cycle). So, I'd talk to your doctor. have you had a pelvic exam/annual exam any time recently?
