is is safe to eat spicy foods while pregnant.... please help

Sure!  I pigged out on Mexican food all the time.  Stick with the foods you know you could eat before pregnancy without heartburn, and the chance of suddenly getting heartburn from them is not as great.  I didn't really see a lot of connection between what I ate particularly and heartburn in pregnancy ... I did get heartburn later in pregnancy, especially in the middle of the night, but it seemed much more connected to the fact that my stomach was pushed up by the growing baby, not because of what I ate.  I'd get it just as often after eating a bland diet in the day as when eating something more lively.
