Can you feel yourself dialating??? What is that awkward feeling?

I know I ask alot of strange questions.. I have two children (ages 3 and 5) BUT, this pregnancy has been so different in 100 ways (my first two were very very similar! This is different dad)
ANYWAY... with the first two, I never dialated, I had to be induced. This time, I feel these weird, awkward stabbing/tugging/pulling pains deep down.. it feels like he is sticking his little hand down into my woo woo. Sometimes to the point of where I actually lift up or cross my legs or whatever. What is this? I read on another site that people can actually feel when they are dialating... and I trust you guys.. what do you think??  (I am 35 wks along - maybe more based on ultrasound pics last week.. some measurements were 37 some were 34 - so who the heck knows!) Thanks for all of your input! Have a nice day :)

I dont know what the heck it is, but I am 35w4d and I feel the same thing. It almost feels like your tootie feels when you are ovulating and u get that strabge sharp tootie pain. I guess we just play the waiting game now right....

Any news? I think that's what it feels like when the baby drops...maybe causing you to dilate. I felt that way too and that's what they told me. Had my DS less than a week later.

Well, the only other thing I can think of is the baby dropping... that sounds like how I felt when that happened.  Have you had a recent ultrasound or exam?

Your Dr. would tell you if you are dialated or if the baby has dropped.

It is different than the Braxton Hicks. It feels so weird, I wish I could describe it. It is so low down and it feels like someone is tugging/jabbing/stabbing on the insides of my woo woo.

Is it possible that you are feeling braxton hicks contractions?  Or maybe the baby has positioned itself for birth by dropping into the birth canal? -I remember that feeling similar to what you are explaining.

I have never heard of feeling dialation, but I suppose anything is possible.
