missed period, brown spotting

I quit taking birth control pills in June.  My husband and I are going to start trying to have a baby soon.  Since I quit taking my bc pills my periods were regular until this month. I was suppose to start on September 6th but I didn't. I took a hpt on the 11th and it was negative.  I started having some brown spotting on the 14th and have had some every day since then.  It's not a lot of spotting, mainly when I wipe.  I have been under a lot of stress lately so I'm guessing that has something to do with it. Anyone have any helpful comments? Thanks!

Depending on how long you were on the pills before stopping, it could take awhile for your cycle to straighten out again. Stress hormone can screw up a lot of functions in your body, and I agree with you that stress has a lot to do with it. Enjoy your baby making!
