late period and brownish discharge

I am normally very regular with my periods. I have my tubes tied 4 years ago. A couple months ago I missed a period, than when I did start it was extra heavy and I was very crampy (which I expected) than I had 2 normal periods. Now I was almost 3 weeks late and expected to be heavy and crampy. (started 3-13) I was lighter than normal and started off with the brownish stuff from day one (1/2 brown 1/2 red) for 2 days than went to all brown. Also noticed a little brown mucus like stuff once. Today I noticed when I wipe I have very small brown (pellet size) clumps.
I didn't really cramp my stomach felt uneasy and would hurt all over (mainly my upper stomach, but my lower when Dr. was pressing my stomach). Now I get sick to my stomach (nausea) in the morning and evenings.
I went to the Dr. and all my blood work is normal. They didn't do a preg. test but I took a home one and it was neg.
What could be wrong?
Please help I'm tired of feeling ickey!

I know that the brown stuff is dried blood, left over from your period, because after my period has ended i have at least one day of dried brown clumpy blood mixed with regular discharge. Just sounds like a screwy period you had this month..

i was wondering how it can be there when its due ur period i had mine on the 4th of feb and now im 9 days late and have a very brown sort of period but its very light not even enough to class as a period?

I had the same thing this month.  Instead of my period I got brown discharge a week earlier than I should have started my period, and my regular period never came.  Took a hpt that came back negative.  I am going to the doc on Friday because this is all accompanied by lower abdonminal pain, but its not as bad as it  was.

I am experiencing the same thing for the first time.  My periods are usually very regular.  However, for the first time ever, I am getting this brown spotting in place of my period.

Two urine tests taken have shown negative.  One during this weird period and second just today.  I am not planning on going to see the doctor but am waiting till next period.

Do let us know what happen with you after your doctor's visit.

I ended up in the ER the other day! I found out my stuff was because of cysts on my overys... One poped and I still have a small one!

Hello Im experiencing the same thing. What is the deal. Can anyone whose had the same thing going on. If they ever got there period? Or if they had the cyst happen to them?
