Thank you for your feed back. You are the only one that has replied. The doctors that I have seen just give me the statistics. Its nice to hear from someone that has experienced it.
I had my IUD inserted on June 13, 2007 after I gave birth to my son and then I had it removed on July 2, 2009, so that my husband and I could try for baby number 2. After I had it removed I bleed for a week straight and 4 of those days were extremely bad, then it took me 43 days to get my 1st period, my cycles stayed teh same as before Mirena was inserted so that was nice. I would recommend that you get your IUD removed 3 months prior to trying to conceive so that it gives your body time to adjust. It took me almost 7 months to finally conceive my second child, so the sooner you have it removed the better in my opinion, you can always use another form of birth control until your ready to start trying. Hope this helps, and best wishes.
P.S. You should join the how long did it take to conceive after Mirena IUD removal the women on there are very supportive and very knowledgeable.
