cramps

Hi everyone,
I just came of the mirena on January 10th. TTC ever since with no luck. I l know they say it takes a while to concieve after the mirena, but this is nerve recking. I have two boys already, but none for my husband.I'm starting to think something is wrong with him. My period came back regular, it's due on the 16th of May, but I'm having severe cramps for the past two days. Can anyone with a similar issue please give me some advice. Thanx

Hello, I had my Mirena removed on July 2, 2009 and I didn't get my BFP (Big Fat Positive) until January 19, 2010, and I know many women who don't get theirs for up to a year after coming off of the Mirena. Your body still might be adjusting to not having the Mirena in. Also you should join the How long did it take to conceive after Mirena removal the women on there are very supportive and extremely helpful, I hope this helps =0)

If you generally don't get cramps, you may want to call your doctors office and talk to a nurse. IF your periods are regular and your checking for ovulation (using a kit) then you should be fine. Remember, as we get older (not sure of your age) it gets a little harder to get pregnant, generally. If you are concerned about your husband, it's very easy to get his sperm checked. Maybe that would give you piece of mind and help you to get pregnant. It really hasn't been that long  - even though it probably feels forever
