missed period ... please someone give me their insight

last year in august i missed my period but i continued to get it again like normal .. at that time i was under a lot of stress at work and i also lost about 15 pounds at the time ... i usually have a "normal" schedule every month but this year in february and march i missed my period again 2 times in a row ... by last august and now i think i have gained almost 20 to 30 pounds and under a lot of stress as well ..: i finally went to the obgyn and did bloodwork and a transvaginal ultrasoind

last year in august i did bloodwork and a regular pelvic ultrasound as well and everything was fine ... there was a cyst found in my ovaries as well but my doctor said it was nothing ...

this time around the bloodwork and ultrasound was okay as well .. the only thing that was found was Physiologic bilateral follicular ovarian cysts ...

so what the doctor gave me was norethidrone which i did get my period and started birth control pills for 2 months after that

i have stopped the bcp after the 2nd pack because i'm not a big fan on taking pills i guess .. and i was to see if i will naturally get my period the next month

in anyone's opinion ... could it have been excess weight gain and stress to cause missed periods ? or could it be something more serious ... i know i went to the doctor and she basically told me i need to lose weight ... i'm actually going to be doing the sleeve surgery in 2 months ... but am i being paranoid ? am i okay ?!

i'm not sure if this info might pertain to anything but i am 26 and have a bit of bad anxiety ...
