missed period?

i'm 16 years old, and i first got my period when i was 12 years old. I wouldn't say that it has skipped alot but when i first got it i did. But i havn't gotten my period within the last 2 months. the last time i had it was the second week of september. I've been active with soccer but i've stopped within the beginning of november. And there is no way i could be pregnant either because i never had sex before. but lately, i've been having minor cramps and sore breasts. is this whole process normal? thanks

I understand about not wanting to tell your mom, I would be the same way, and I was always too afraid to talk to her about birth control because I knew she would freak out.  I would just wait it out and see if you get your period soon, if you don't then I think you still should go to the doctor.  Yea, she may think you are pregnant, but just stay calm when you talk to her and tell her you have never had sex and know you are not pregnant, but you want to make sure everything is ok with your body.  She still may be paranoid, but if you go to the doctor, they will determine you are not pregnant, and your mom will know you weren't lying.  The doctor may actually want to put you on BC to regulate your period.  I lucked out and that is what happened to me, I wanted to get on birth control but was too scared to tell my mom, but my doctor wanted me to be on it to regulate my period, so my mom was more ok with it then because "the doctor said so". Lol. Good Luck.

You may be getting your period soon, and that my answer the cramps and sore breasts.  I have missed few periods before, sometimes it just happens, but if you go on three months without a period, I would probably go to the doctor to see what is up, and consider getting on birth control pills just to regulate your cycle.  Hope this helps.
