more blood after sex?!
i previously posted a question regarding some spotting that has been ongoing for the past four days, way before my period was supposed to start. well i still dont have my full normal period, but immediately after having sex last night, the flow became more than just discharge when i wipe, it became a little heavier but still very light for me. plus it is accompanied by slight cramps and more back pain this morning! Does anyone have an idea what these symptoms could mean?
Thanks. Yeah, see I don't get them after waking for when standing for sitting too long. They actually go away when I stand and walk around. Or if I stretch my leg. It does feel like gas to me. Is the ligament pain really strong? Because this is hardly noticeable (and I think that when I am not thinking about it, I don't feel it.) I know I am having gas problems in my stomach because I can feel it, and when i do eat (which is not often because I'm stressed) it goes away totally. But the groin pain and leg pain do not go away when I eat. They do go away for a little if I rub my shin and ankle though. Standing does not make it hurt at all...makes it feel better to move around. It also hurts to push on it, although that is going away. That's why I think it is possible a trapped gas pocket. I just don't know what it is and it's worrying me very much. But I am still a week from my withdrawal bleed and this pain started even before a week before the incident! I don't think if there was an egg, it would even be implanted yet. Would those pains start so soon? I'm just so confused I feel like crying all the time. It's so scary. All those people who have sex all the time and never get pregnant (my friend for example, she just uses the pull-out method) and I just take a shower with my boyfriend, never have sex, and am afraid of being pregnant. It makes no sense. I cant' be pregnant! I would feel better if it wasn't for this pain. I guess it's probably not pregnancy relate though and just because I injured myself. Maybe I twisted my ankle or something and the pain is going up my leg. Who knows...I guess there is a lot of options. But pregnancy pain in my groin 6 days after a possible pregnancy, which isn't even really a possibility, is probably the least likely reason, correct? I mean, it's not a pregnancy symptom they tell you to look for, right? I don't have any other symptoms. My boobs are fine...except where they always hurt. (I used to have lumps in my breasts upon ovulation, which is the real reason I'm on the pill. No more lumps!!, but they do hurt in the same spot every month...just not as badly. I guess that means I'm not ovulating though...) Anyway, I need to stop worrying because I'm sure it's not a pregnancy symptom and I'm worrying for nothing. :/
lol i see. no i just said that bc you said it felt like gas. when you said how it felt like it needed popping, it rung a bell for me. sorry for the misunderstanding. there is a significant difference between gas pains and strained ligaments.
sorry didnt mean to worry you! i dont remember saying anything about gas though. must have been someone else, what did it say? i had the same pains in the groin area, especially right after waking up or sometimes if i sat for too long then stood.
Well, we were talking on here and you said it just sounded like gas...then on the other thing I posted you said it sounded like I conceived from the month before and it's pregnancy? Well what is it? :P And my boyfriend is the same. If i am not dying, he says I'm fine. And always tells me I'm not pregnant. You scared me with the post on the question I asked though by saying that you had the same pains, but on here never mentioned it lol. I am still thinking I got pregnant from being bumped in the shower by my boyfriend's penis and that I got pregnant. I did not conceive the month before, as I would know that for a fact. I have no symptoms. You've got me worried because of what you said to me though! :(
thank you! lol you sound like me! my poor husband hes the complete opposite, he asked "can you eat, sh*t, and walk?" and of course i can so i dont have a problem as far as hes concerned. but i do that too and of course i have to share the details with him, its just too much. well i sure hope you're gas goes away! that stuffs no fun! but really feel better and ill know who to talk to next time im worried about something!
You're very welcome. The mind is way too powerful...at least mine. Every month I think I'm pregnant, and this month the closest I came to sex was taking a shower with my boyfriend. I am on the pill and now think he bumped me and it got in there. I am having gas pains and for 4 days, the left side of my groin hurts when I push on it. I also get shooting pains in it, but the shooting pains feel more like gas. My left leg also hurts. It'll probably go away after my withdrawal bleed and I'll know it was all in my head. isnt it? lol thank you. i know i do that with myself alot, think something is wrong and then "it is so." But im sure ill just be at rest after the doctor Tuesday, poor guy sees me more than he probably wants to. at the moment i am having HORRIBLE cramps but my flow isnt heavy. and hot flashes all day long. thank you so much!
The bleeding with sex and starting the next thing happens to me every time I have sex if I am going to start the next day. EVERY time. I doubt it still means pregnancy, it probably just means a weird period. But I highly doubt it is an infection. And obviously not an std because you are married. If it is lighter than normal though, it could possibly mean pregnancy, but if it is just like all the other periods, I doubt it. A full flow, enough to soak pads or fill tampons, is not common in pregnancy and could mean something is wrong. I'm sure your body is just giving you **** because you are trying to conceive and not wanting a period. ;) Heck, I am trying to not get pregnant at the moment and get symptoms every month and my period is late until I take a test. The mind is very powerful. If you tell yourself there is a possibility or that you are pregnant over and over again, your body may begin to think it and cause a delay in your period or just a messed up one. good luck.
no- its the weirdest thing, i though i was pregnant with the spotting and all. Im married and ttc so im plenty used to sex lol, and my period has never been irregular but sometimes for instance if its the night before my period begins and i have sex it will prompt spotting like i will see bloody discharge and then the next day i have my period. because my periods always start out with a little spotting. but normally progress to my usual heavy flow within that same day. well this spotting lasted nearly 5 days, then sex last night and boom, more blood. but yes it is lighter compared to my normal first day which pretty much drenches me. i just cant wait till i get to see my doc. im glad to hear that it might not be an infection and still might mean pregnancy.
Oh, well I just posted that before you posted that haha. I do not think it is an infection. It was just your period. I too started spotting one month about a week before my period was due. I also started spotting after sex once, then started my period 2 days later. It's just because your cervix is opening and ready for a period. Pushing on your cervix could make the blood come out. It's happened many times. You body may just be changing. It was probably just your period. I have NEVER heard of an infection that gives you period symptoms. It was just your normal cycle. See if it goes away after your period and if it does, well, now you know what it was if it happens again. :)
Doubt it is an infection, as I have never heard of an infection that causes period type symptoms. Are you new to sex? It could be from that if you are not used to sex yet. I however never bled with sex (except when I started my period in the middle of that....that was scary until I realized what it was ha.) It may just be an irritation to your cervix. It could also be pregnancy. During pregnancy, you may have spotting, but should not have a heavy flow. Since you say it is still light for you, then it could be pregnancy. Did you have unprotected sex around possible ovulation time? When your period is due, if you do not get a normal period, I would take a test just to be sure. It is however not normal to bleed after sex, so if it continues, i would go to the doctor...as scary as that sounds...but it is better to be on the safe side. Good luck. :)
oh nice! im thinking that too now because i thought at first it was implantation bleeding but today I started with full blown period, lovely cramps and all. what type of infection do you think it could be? I dont know what is going on my periods never do this. Im going to the doctor Tuesday, well I guess no baby for me. :(
