my mother is in so much pain with her legs and feet. i can't take it

my mother was diagnosed with osteoarthritis back in may and she had 2 surgeries. one for each knee. the surgeries were great, but now she still can't walk. her feet hurt her so much every day. she can't even walk much for more than 4 or 5 hours. i'm taking it that this is arthritis. i just can't believe that she is in this much pain. Is there anything that she could do??? Is it actually arthritis???

yes glucosamine and chondroitin is a very good idea.  has your mother been laying down at all?  in a bed, or has she been sleeping in a chair?  not long ago i had to take care of my grandmother because she had a myriad of things wrong with her, and she went months without sleeping in a bed (she had a dislocated shoulder).  this caused static edema, her legs were swollen and her skin was very tight and she had bad pain in her legs and knees and couldnt walk very much if at all.  if your mother hasnt been laying down, you should take her to a hospital right away.

Hey Honey,
was your mom tested for Ostioporosis?  Is she on medicine that's not working?  and What have they told you/ and her about post-op therapy?  Usually the therapy after surgery has very small cost, may even be in a pool. . .  also for right now she may need a different medicine for pain, plus a hot foot bath with Epsom Salts will help with swelling.  Was the incision very far below her knees?  Does she still need to have bandages changed every day?  One more, how long since her surgery?
Big hugs to your mom and you!  Many Blessings your way!

She needs to notify her physician. It could be many things, even arthritis. Is she in a Pain Management Clinic? If not, then I highly suggest that she seek a Pain Management Doctor. Chronic Pain is a serious condition that should be treated. There is NO reason to live in misery!
I pray she finds some relief VERY soon! Good luck to you both.
