my period wont quit

So i am almost 23, i got my first period when i was 11. They have always been extremely irregular. But this last month n a half now my period wont quit! Its not even heavy bleeding but its constant. Sometimes throughout the day it gets a lil heavy. I have absolutely no energy, my emotions r off the friggin wall. Its frustrating between me n my husband on r physical relationship. He understands though and is very worried about me n my health. Im just scared cause my family line i think has a lot of diseases n cancers n that department.....plz give me sum answers!!! Im freaked out!

Here is a link to Snopes.com that addresses the false rumor that tampons have fiberglass in them. This info is at the bottom, so keep reading. And keep using tampons without worry...........there is NO fiberglass in them!

You should also be checked for anemia. After bleeding for close to 6 weeks, there's a good chance you are. That would also explain your lack of energy and a hormone imbalance would certainly explain the moodiness.
I'm sure it's nothing that can't be fixed, so don't wait any longer.

I hope so, im spending a fortune on tampons, those worry me to. With all that fiberglass n them. But i just dispise pads

I had that problem a while back.... I saw the doc and they put me on one pack of high dose birth control pills to stop the bleeding then did an ultrasound....said I had fibroids....they did a dnc to clean out the lining and I decided to get on low dose bcp to keep it more regular....I would also suggest getting blood tests to check your hormones out,,,,I also found out that I have pcos and that also plays havoc with my cycle....try not to worry but do call your doc!!!  no worries!  easy fix!!!
