I had a transvaginal ultrasound as part of a routine well woman check up. All was well according to the doctor, but she said she couldn't find my ovaries. This is strange since although I'm 50 and definately beginning menopause, I am still menustrating - is this possible without ovaries? She said they had probably shrunk due to menopause. I am confused. Also reading other posts on here, people talk of pain in left had side from ovary problems. I have pain in left side of my lower back, which I thought I had put my hip out or something but has persisted for a year now and also periodically get a pain in my left groin. Is it possible these are linked to my disappearing ovaries?
