wondering

O.K my last period was on 10/10/05 and I should have got it on 11/12/05 so I'm 27 days late today. I took a HMT on 12/06/05 and the test was positive. But the + sign was a very faint blue. Im having lower pains in my stomach and back. Also very tired with tender breasts with a funky discharge. But, I was having these pains long ago while I was still getting my period. And Im confused because why would I get pregnant now when me and my boyfriend have been trying to have a baby for a year and a half. Then we broke up for a while, now all of a sudden the symtoms!!! Could I just be getting them because my sister and cousin are pregnant or what???? Help!!!!

you would only get the positive if YOU were pregnant, not just cuz your cousin and sister are, everyones different when it comes to pregnancy symptoms, i would suggest making a dr appt.to confirm the pregnancy

the majority of times if you miss a period that is a good indication you are pregnant. however, there are other factors such as medications, bc, excessive amt of exercise suddenly, stress, extreme change in diet and other things that will delay a period. you not getting your period paired with an hpt that gave a positive reading i would say that you are pregnant. it does not matter how faint or dark the lines are. if its positive then you are. wqhat you need to do now is call your dr. and make an appt to come in for a blood test.

If your last period was 10/10/05 and you have gotten a postive hpt, then you are 8 weeks pg.  This is when my pg symptoms started, so it sounds normal to me.  I don't know why it took you 1.5 years to get pg, some times those things happen.  It's not uncommon to take up to 1 year to get pg.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :-)
Everybodys 'body' is different. It dosnt matter if the positive strip is faint blue or bright blue. Your late and have a positive strip, your more than likely pregnant! :-D
Get your butt to the doctors asap.

sounds to me like you're pregnant. even though the positive was faint, it's still a positive. clinique is right..call the dr. and make an appt. or if you have a health dept. where you live, they will do a pregnancy test for you, and if it is in fact positive, they can give you medicaid and wic referrals if you want.
i have to disagree with wanttobeamom on how far along you are. you cannot always be sure of that just by going by your last period.
the nurse told me i was 15 weeks, but the ultrasound measured the baby to be 10 weeks. that's a big difference. wait until you see the doc.
congrats and good luck.
