Hi, well.  Here is the thing.  It is virtually impossible to absolutely know.  Women often want to know this as it would make having a baby so much easier, right?

For a lot of women, our cycles follow a typical pattern.  The way you track your cycle is to being counting on cycle day one which is the first day of your period. The last day of your cycle is the day before your next period begins (as determined by when it starts).  If you count it/track it--  you may notice a regular pattern which gives you an idea of when you might be ovulating.  With the average cycle length, women ovulate around day 14 but sperm can live up to five days prior to that. Once ovulation is over, then that is it for conception for that month, no more chance.  BUT--  we can ovulate late out of the blue and therefore, NO time is safe for unprotected sex if you don't want a baby during a cycle.

When trying to figure out when you are ovulating, unless you use a predictor test that tests your hormones to see WHEN you ovulate, it's a good guess.

For trying to conceive, doctors tell women to have sex every other day for 10 days starting on day 10.

good luck

Count days of your cycle. Start of period to end next. It will be mid cycle. You'll also have a clear elastic type discharge. Pamela
