pain in vagina

Please help me. I am due to get my period in the next few days. Today the bottom of the opening to my vagina feels sore and irritated. The area closest to the perienum but still slightly inside the vagina. It also bleeds (very) slightly when blotted with toilet paper. It stings a bit but doesn't really hurt. I did a self exam and see white thick discharge which is possibly yeast but I'm not sure b/c I don't know if I've ever had a yeast infection and it doesn't itch. I don't see any blisters but there is a small area that looks red and irritated. This happened one other time that I can remember but I thought I had cut myself shaving. I'm not sexually active and haven't been in well over two years. What could this be ?  Is it a fissure or irritation from a yeast infection ? Could I have herpes ? I had a blood test a year ago at a free clinic and they said that if I didn't hear from them, I was fine. I didn't get anything in the mail. Please give me your input I am freaking out.

I have that, too.  Mine didn't appear until after having sex with my husband.  It seems like he stretched my skin when he entered me.  My skin is red, itchy, and very irritated.  I itch so bad I have to scratch (gross I know).  It's in the same area as yours.  I thought I had a yeast infection.  I've been using the otc products, but it has yet to clear up.  It's been seven days now.  I think you and I both need to go to the doctor to be checked whenever this happens.  I'm tired of having to wiggle around and scratch while in public or at home.  I wish you the best!
