Sexually active with vaginal bleeding-NOT my period

I've been sexually active with my boyfriend for 7 or 8 weeks and a couple times it started with no protection but we used a condom every time. about 2 weeks ago I was scared I was pregnant because my period was late and I was throwing up but I got it about a week later. Its been two weeks since then and now I have vaginal bleeding that's definately not my period. Its heavy enough to soak part of my underwear and is red/brown. Its been bleeding for a whole day now and started last night. What could the bleeding be caused by? I read somewhere that bleeding could be caused by miscaraige...could I have had one and not even have known I was pregnant? Would that be possible if I had my period two weeks ago?

Bleeding when you urinate is not a sign of pregnancy. This, and the pain you have over your abdomen would indicate some type of UTI, and you would need to see your doctor as soon as your can. Will most likely need antibiotics.

You wouldn't be having a miscarriage, when you're mid cycle. Plus, you got your period last month so that means you're not pregnant. Mid cycle is when we ovulate, and sometimes ovulation can cause spotting or light bleeding.

Are you on any birth control? Sometimes this can cause this as well. And are you up to date with smear tests etc? Mid cycle bleeding can be a sign of STDs or other infections.
