pregnancy after iud removal

I spotted the day of iud removal  and then bled a little bit for almost a week after it was removed.  Is that considered my period?  Will I be able to conceive?

My doc told me to take a vitamin to help get pregnant sfter a IUD removal.  That will prevent miscarrying and get pregnant quicker.  The vitamin should take is Geritol.  I got pregnent with taking it and 4 of my family and friends got pregnant. Good Luck everybody!
