pregnancy test positive/negative

ok so i took a test last night and i walked away and came back to it too long after the time limit... when i came back it had a faint line so i decided to take the other one in the morning..
i did and soon after i took it i saw a really really faint line... like almost non existant.
im not getting too excited because i think im looking at it too closely?
can you do that?
you can only see it in really good light

what do you guys think??

when i first had gotten pregnant all my test would come back negative til i was about 3months..i decided to take another test and i had a faint line it was the only one that actually came out positive..i went to the doctors and they said it was because my estrogen level was low and that is the reason all my test were coming back negative and the last one came back faint...oh yea an i bought all name brand test and all were negative then i went to dollar store and bought the cheapest one and thats the one that actually showed up..best wishes to you

use the clearblue test.. they are more expensive.. but it's worth it.. it says pregnant or not pregnant.. nothing "faint" no guessing.. it's digital.

ok, at least you know whats going on..sorry that your "bonus" didnt work out..

... im still feeling the same, i guess ill know in a few weeks when im supposed to start my period..

a lady at work told me that it took her over a month to get a pos result... so for now ive just got to be patient...

i have finally started my period so i will chart it on my calender so i know for sure when the next 1 comes may have to add 2 weeks on to my cycle

still no period and still no pos test i decided to do one this morn as i have symtoms of being preg no it was neg again i think i will see my doc on mon and see if he will do a blood test

Yeah, I was about to agree with you evthing4reason. Its true, if you get your hopes up due to that faint line like I did you set yourself up for ALOT of pain.

Hey girls, you should never look at a pregnancy test after the 10 minutes and if you have to squint, or hold the stick a certain way it's probably not a positive and just a evaporation line instead. sorry to sound harsh

which brand hpt did u use, i used a boots brand one with the pink lines the first one was just neg then a few days later i did another 1 again with pink lines and i had a neg result but when i looked at it later i could see a faint line but im unsure if it was within the 10 min time frame so i bought some more this time the boots ones with blue lines so far all i had was neg results but im am unsure if i am on day 41 or 29 of my cycle as i had bleeding for 12 days in the middle of a pack of pills i continued to take them till the end of the pack and went to see the nurse to get some more pills but because of the bleeding she changed me to the mini pill but i havent been able to take them as i havent had a period i dont know if brown discharge counts as i found that a few days after stopping the pill when i wiped after going to the loo the paper a bit of brown on it, i only had this once a day for three days so i didnt think anything of it we have had unprotected sex so pregnancy is a possibility.

About the positive faint line thing... In the yr of 2006 I had the same thing and I had 2 home tests with the faint line, and 1 doctors that had the faint line and they just said okay I will take that as yes your pregnant!! About a few days afterwards I started bleeding went in to the ER and they said I was not pregnant!! So I have no idea.

i hope all goes well with you... why are our bodies so confusing!?

i took the second test this morning and it was the same faint faint faint positive line.

is it normal for both lines to show up when it starts reading but then when the time limit is up it is only an extremely faint line??

i know how you feel i had one like that but i wasnt sure i it was within 10 mins but as the day went on it got more obvious  so i did another test the next day it was neg.
i am also still waiting to find out what is going on with my body         if you think you have a positive hpt you should get the doc to do a test to confirm it
