pregnant or not !!!!!
Hi there, My LMP was april 1st, and i missed my period, we used BC except once when it was almost the date of my expected period. the HPT came negative on may 9th, but a blood test at the doc on may 13th found low amount of HCG, it was 144 which is low for 6 weeks. I am really confused, i don't have any preg symptoms, just some soreness in my breasts for last 2 days. I have 2 kids and both pregs were bang on HPT +ve after the missed period, nausea etc, can some one help, Thanks.

My hcg has gone up quite a bit it was 750 which has more than doubled since my last test but it is still very low for week 7...I have another BT this tuesday, the doc said an U/S will not help with this low hcg , it has to be over 1500 for them to see the sac. So the dreadfull waiting continues, will keep u guys posted.

Thanks guys. I just had another blood test this morning will find out for sure where things are going. the funny thing is I don't feel pregnant.....hence the confusion, will wait and see what the doc has to say tomorrow. thanks again.
Yeah sinfield I think prob alot of women do and dont realise. Im sorry that baby to come to be, have you had any luck after that? Ive seen women going thru IVF on tv and it seems tiring at times but dont give up, just relax (hard to do I know) and hopefully it will take. I find it bad the price tho, its like preying on vunerable couples......
Anyway mldc what did the dr say when they saw 144hcg levels? You definatly are preg, and its strange the tests show neg (max shows at 50hcg) anyway I wouldnt wait as much as 2 weeks I would go a couple of days 3 at most because its supposed to double every 2 -3 days. If your not bothered about the preg then maybe dont bother but if it were me I would go sooner rather than later so that u know whats going on and maybe they can help you out. I heard that hormones can be given to help out (on here I think)
Take it easy not too much hard work or exercise, I hope it all works out....

it might not be the same situation as yours but after id undergone i.v.f treatment i had a blood test to find out if i was pregnant,the blood results showed i was but the hcg levels were very low my doctor said this meant that i was pregnant but they didnt expect it to last and i should expect a period in the next couple of weeks.they called it a biochemical pregnancy i wonder if alot of women get pregnant and lose it with out even knowing if i were you id go back for another blood test in a couple of weeks if youve not seen your period by then good luck
