Hi there and welcome.  Sorry you are having such discomfort.  cysts in the ovaries is not uncommon.  I've had simple cysts and passed them which seems like a very heavy period with bad cramps.  Some women have many cysts and a disorder called polycystic ovarian syndrome.

Ovarian cancer is often silent.  It's a seeding cancer meaning tumors are very tiny and spread like sand blowing in the wind.  They do grow but it takes a bit of time.  There are often no symptoms for a long time but what they seem to appear most like are gastrointestinal issues.  As symptoms are hard to identify early on, that is why when found, it is often at an advanced stage.  Women often bloat as their abdomen fills with ascites (cancer fluid).

So, I think that your doctor would tell you if cancer was a concern but cysts are different than cancer tumors.  And if he is worried, he/she would do a cancer marker test, CA125 test.  It's a blood test and if you are over a certain number, there is ovarian cancer present.

My mother in law died of ovarian cancer.  That is the other thing, the statistics are on your side.  Young women rarely have this type of cancer.

So, talk to your doctor but I do not think cancer at this time is something to worry about.  good luck
