well, i am glad that i am not alone. but mine has been a bit over two years and i only breast fed her for 2months. i guess it is normal or my doctor would have said SOMETHING. a weird question now... i am kind of shy to ask it. okay, i will.. will my husband taste it? ewww.
i mean i check once every like two months to see if it still comes out and it does. its not like i am constantly squeezing it for it to continue. its not really a big concern either cause i do feel like its not a health issue. but always something on your breast that will remind you of those months of breastfeeding ha? thank you guys.

I breastfed my daughter for a little over a year and had milk when squeezing the nipple for up to a year. dr said that was completely normal and like everything else depends on your "hormones" and how quickly they balance theirselves out.  I never felt engorgement or anything after the initial stopping of nursing, but sometimes would feel a little tingly like it was going to come in. Hope you don't worry about it too much.

me two I breastfeed my son 2wks and he is 9months old now.  My period stopped and they did lab levels and my progesterone level was way low.  they gave me provera to induce a period and since I have started ovulating now I squeezed on it again just to see and I couldn't get much of nothing to come out...before it was a drop or two.  I say it is your hormones and they will work themselves out.  I wouldn't squeeze on it too much so it will continue to dry up.  It was really weird for me since it didn't happen with my daughter

Same here. I breastfed for 11 months and it went on and on for another year and a half. It seems to be normal if it happens after breastfeeding but not normal if you get that without having had a baby at all. Maybe that`s nature`s way of dealing with nursing strikes so that you could continue later on if you really worked on it.

I breast fed my daughter for 8 mon. and stopped..It has been well over a year, and I have gone on the pill & off now ttc, and all during that time + now, if I squeeze my nip, a small amount of milk or yellowish fluid stills comes out. Sometimes more than others..I never asked my doc why, I just figured it had to do with changing hormones, even now.

I am having the same problem right now. My Dr. said that it's normal and could last several years.
I wouldn't worry. :)
